• Remarkable how cogent and insightful DeBord's definitions are. It's as if one could say "why didn't I think of that?" The dream interpretations in this book make perfect sense and help the dreamer get through the complex unconscious dream world. Surely one quickly learns what we think something in a dream means, is often not the case, after looking it up here, DeBord actually helps you feel better. Thanks for your hard work and passion for this arcane dictionary Mr. DeBord.
• This book has really helped me with some of my weird dreams I’ve been having for about a year and a half. It’s very in depth with helping you figure out what things mean. I use it every morning now lol! I used to sit thinking all day long about what my dreams mean but this book just changed that.

  This interest has never left me and now as a grown up, I continue look for answers I know are already inside me.
  Then one day I was listening Coast to Coast AM radio show and the show was about Dream Symbolism & Analysis with Mr. J.M. DeBord. I was so impressed that the next day I ordered his book Dreams 1-2-3 as well his latest book The Dream Interpretation Dictionary; Symbols, Signs and Meanings... These books are an awesome study guild. It is written as something simple and beautiful and that is why this helps people to be able to understand their dreams with the ease of a gentle beginnings. Before one can learn to walk, one must crawl.
  The easy instructions to remembering dreams worked for me like a charm. In few days I was able to remember my dreams and not just the actions or the feelings of it but also tiny details that I had never took seriously before and paid no attention to them. Shapes and colors, numbers and patterns, all the little clues became more interesting and clear in my dreams.
  I visited his blog on Reddit.com and posted one of my recurring dreams on the board. In no time Mr. DeBord replied and offered an interpretation that made the repetition clear to me. I had found him on Facebook as well and he accepted me as friend. He said he does not usually accept such invitations from strangers, but since I've studied tarot he would take the chance, so I felt honored in some way. We have great conversations online and he has helped me to interpret my other old recurring dreams. I keep dreaming with more clarity and depth and this has invigorated me to remember more and more. One of my latest dreams felt like an alert for a potential health issue concerned about my husband’s blood-pressure and I collaborated my suspicions with Mr. DeBord. It seems he has taught me well and I was right about the interpretation. He said; “Yeah, your interpretation is right on. You're learning!”
  A couple of days ago a friend told me that he has recurring dreams about flying. I told him that he wants to go somewhere, and he should be confident about doing just that. Actually he is “ready” to retire but not so confident about it at this time. He was smiling at me gently when I told him something that he already knew. The very emotion behind that smile meant he too knew this.

You may even realize the potential you that might not have known was in you.

• One of the very best books on dreams I’ve found - I dream a lot so I have quite a few dream books and sites I go to every morning. This book is perhaps the most detailed in terms of the depth it provides for symbolism. I only wish the author had a website that he updated daily with new symbols, he is a natural and gifted in this area.
• A lot of words wasn’t included which made figuring out one single dream impossible. Book is a total miss in my opinion. For instance I couldn’t find word “ mud” but Snoop Dogg was in there??! Seriously?
• A comprehensive dictionary of dream imagery. Nice reference but somewhat general. Not a deep read, like Jung's Psyche and Symbol but a quick reference for those interesting dream images.
• I found the intro a bit pretentious and know-it-all-ish. Also, some of the items I've dreamt about repeatedly are not in here. I'm still enjoying trying to find items in here, though, to see what it says. It's obvious there are many opinions on this and I'd like to have more books on this topic.
• Bought it for my friend as a gift as we are always texting each other about our dreams from the night before and googling the meanings. This book is so detailed way better than the websites we’ve been looking at! I am definitely buying one for myself after seeing the book in person! If you look up your dreams, BUY THIS BOOK.
